The one stop, all Bruins thread!

If there is any truth to the Oilers considering MF I'd like to see Ethan Moreau wearing a B's sweater. He is a two way player with character and leadership. Moreau is 32 yr, signed w/ the Oilers for 1.75 for two more years. I don't know the current state of the Oilers franchise. If the Oilers are planning for the future the B's could have Moreau but if the Oilers think they can contend for the cup ( which they won't) they need a guy like Moreau. One of the reasons Bergeron commands alot of ice time is he is the best Bruins face off center.

I think according to Boston.com not sure I check a lot of sites so not sure if it was this particular website. ANyway they said a scout for the Oilers has been at the last three Bruins games and they are interested in getting rid of a slummping Cole. I agree with Hockeyguy coming to the bruins could really revitalze him. This guy was a big part of the Canes cup team. You all know I have been a big advocate to have the B's go after Tkachuk but again for the right price Cole wouldn't be bad either.

I'm going to say 6-2 win for the Bruins tonight and I can't believe that the bruins have taken points form every game since the all-star break. At the beginning of the year I would have been happy with a 4th place finish and hosting a first round playoff series. Now I think you would all agree a 4th place finish would be a huge let down. How things can change in a few short months.

Lucic isnt playing that sucks

Kessel will score

Krejci will get at least one point

Thomas will allow 2-3 goals

Bruins score 4-5 goals

A win is a win... and giving the extra point away to the Senators shouldn't factor into the playoff run, the Bruins had some sloppy moments... but they were on back to back road games, and the power play clicked tonight. The bruins are now just 5 wins away from the magic number of 94... which is usually the safe number to make it into the playoffs. With a possible 20 points left in this month the bruins could potentially could be around 100 points by the end of Febuary! OK Im now gonna divert my attention to Celtics-Lakers

I also read about the Oilers being at the last few games to check out the B's.  But it also said that they were looking at Hunwick and would also want Sobotka.  I am not sure that i would be willing to part with that much young talent for a rent a player.

I do not think the Oilers will trade for a goalie, They could very well be looking at Hunwick.I am not sure if there will be any big moves this season between any teams, the cap keeps alot of those moves from happening. That is not a bad thing though.

I wouldn't mind trading a few prospects for a rental.  i think this is the Bruins' year to really make a splash in the post season and they should go for it. I wouldn't mind losing Sobotka, he hasn't been the player we saw in the post-season last year and i like Karsums and Bitz more anyway.  However, i would prefer if they shipped of Lashoff instead of Hunwick.

Black&Gold,

I've always hated Joe Thornton. Gibber can tell you that.

I hated him as a Bruin and I hate him now. He's the biggest wuss in the NHL. What a waste of all that size. Always trying to pass from the corners instead of pounding people and making room in front of the net! I just always hated the way he played. I was happy when they traded him. I wasn't happy with what they got for him though. Mike O'Connell is an idiot !!!!

I hope someone makes him eat some glass when we play them !!

Hahaa I dont hate the guy but I think he should use his size more.  He only uses it sometimes to be somewhat strong with the puck.  I mean hes not Lucic.  He's more like Wheeler.  But I didnt really mind losing him so much.  Even though having him kessel and Lucic on a line wouldnt be so bad.  We should have recieved at least one 1st round pick and Sturm.  That would have made me happier.

Anyways, I could only watch the first half of the game.  The Bruins looked slow and out of it.  Thankfully they got two goals.  I headed up to Manchester to Millys hole in the wall and the two 20 inch tvs were on the Celtics.  I kept refreshing my phone and was pissed when Axe was up but of course he proved me wrong again.

They better have more intensity this weekend.

It's been awhile boys.

But great game by Tuukka Rask. I look forward to the days he has a more predominant role for the Bruins.

What a game against the Senators.  Up 2-0, than let them back in the game.  Nice job on the shootout winner by P.J. Axelsson after playing such a dismal game.

And I'm looking forward to the Sharks on tuesday.  Clash of the titans!  #1 in East vs #1 in West.

Also, about the trades, there was an article I saw on the internet from the Boston Globe (I think?) saying about the likes of Erik Cole coming to the Bruins.  Only for someone like Matt Hunwick or Vladimir Sobotka.  not sure if you guys are for that?  But he's playing decently for them.

Well I wonder if Manny Fernandez will be in nets today for the Bruins.  Tim Thomas is about due for a breather, and the Flyers will probably come out pretty hard.  I figure the Bs will win it 4-2.  They will score by counterpunching some deep drives by the Flyers.

Thornton takes ryders spot on the 2nd line. Julien seems to reward team players who play hard every night which is wht PJ gets so much ice time. I'd love to see Thorton put a wrister past Biron. I still don't like pj on the pp.

Is it just me or has Milan Lucic done much of nothing lately. At the begining of the season this kid was on fire getting points in almost every game he played. In his last 11 games he has 4 points with 1 goal and 3 assists. And in 17 games before this slump he had 15 points with 5 goals and 10 assists so what's the problem? I was one of those guys that said this kid reminds me alot of Cam Neely but I don't know I hope he snaps out of it.

Another thing before the New Year Milan Lucic had 10 fights after the New Year 0 fights, what's up with that. I think he kind of lost his edge. I'm not tring to bash on the kid because I really like this kid just look at my avatar. I hope he turns it around soon.

by the way going inot the third period against the Flyers the Bruins are tied 3-3

Let's go Bruins!

Does anyone know how long Ryder is out?

And did anyone notice that Manny Fernandez switched pads and gloves to just white and black? Earlier in the year he had had gold in there also. Is this a move to break in pads that will essentially match any teams colors? Expecting to be traded?
